He is rescued by a family who is passing by, but then they’re all captured by a slaver and taken to Gesso City, which is ruled by a man who calls himself the General. Soon, though, the city is under attack from an army led by Jugai, a rival warlord. The General forces the residents to fight as soldiers, while he holds their families hostage.
