Welcome to the strange world of Japanese fandom geekery, where cosplay is a year-round thing, and memes are the basic form of communication.

Genshiken boldly goes where few otaku have gone before… only this time, they boldly seek out new doujinshi! Take a deep dive into the strange world of the Japanese comic convention subculture. This is a world where costumes aren’t just for Halloween, everything has a little girl version, pets are expected to breathe fire, five hundred dollars is not too much to pay for a pillow; and no one ever has to admit that it’s basically just porn!
