The Anime Corner seeks enthusiastic individuals to join our team.

At the Anime Corner, we don't like the think that we offer a traditional working environment where everyone's duties are compartmentalized to one specific task. Instead, all of our employees share primary and secondary duties in several areas. This allows for crossover training and gives employees experience in several areas of the company aside from their primary responsibilities, enriching the working environment and allowing employees to gain valuable work experience in many areas.

We currently have (2) full time positions available in the following areas:

•     Inventory / Order Fulfillment Specialist (2 Positions Available - Immediate Openings)

  We currently need very detail oriented individuals to help us with shipping, receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment duties at our distribution center. Job duties will include picking/packing, preparing domestic and international orders for shipment, receiving & stocking inbound shipments, confirming orders for customers in our order management software, filing, and other administrative duties. Successful candidate will be reliable, detail oriented, have an easy going can do attitude, and be able to work quickly and accurately in a sometimes stressful environment. Mandatory overtime during peak order seasons such as the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Individual must be in good physical condition and able to learn and accurately pick and pack Anime items from our current selection of about 12,000 items. Unlike at other 'warehouse' type operations, this position is one of the most important in the company, and we need someone who can understand how their job duties directly impacts customer satisfaction.

  Note: Our distribution center is currently located in Ranson, WV (about 30 minutes from Winchester), however, we will be moving to a new and larger space in Winchester, VA (near Winchester airport) in Sept/Oct 2006. If you are not local to the Ranson / Charles Town area it may be necessary for you to commute to our existing location for a short period of time until we are ready to occupy our new space in Winchester, VA.

The best qualified candidates for this position will meet the following requirements:

• Have a familiarity with Japanese Anime products, series, characters, and merchandise (desired but not absolutely required)

• We are an internet company, top to bottom. You must have basic computer skills, regardless of your job. Good knowledge of 'the internet', MS Windows 2000/XP, Word, Excel, IE, and other basic Windows based programs. Must be able to handle 'basic' computer related tasks without much training.

• Have good verbal and written communication skills. You may find yourself in a position to communicate with customers or vendors from time to time.

• Will be 100% reliable. Period. Must have reliable transportation to work. No shows = no job.

• A positive team-oriented can-do attitude, and the ability to work well with others as a team. This is a must!!

• High School Diploma or equivalency required. Post high school certificate education / 2+ year degree considered in salary offer.

• We are a non-smoking company. That means No-Smoking on and off the job.
